Faculty of Humanities & Department for Foreign Students

Faculty of Humanities & Department for Foreign Students provides the joint work with the other departments of the university in successful preparation of specialists for foreign countries in all forms of education.

The basic task of Dean’s Office is an improvement of vocational orientation work among the young people of different countries and high-quality preparation for the entrance exams to the university.

During the first-year (on a preparatory department) foreign citizens study Russian and such natural sciences, as mathematics, physics, and chemistry, drawing and other. After studding on the preparatory department students continue to study on the chosen department, postgraduate education, and master’s degree.

Directions of Dean’s Office Activity

  • The dean's office provides the invitation, reception, visa support at Ukrainian Embassies and Consulates for the prospective Ukrainian educational institution students;
  • The preparatory department provides language training for foreign citizens to enable their further studies within any program at universities;
  • Teaching on basic faculties on all base specialties for the receipt of the bachelor, the specialist, the master’s degree;
  • Educational preparation of students on the second stage is conducted on the basic faculties in separate groups consisting only of foreign students or joint with the Ukrainian students.
  • Foreign students get possibility of the further teaching in graduate school and person working for doctor’s degree equally with the Ukrainian students;
  • After graduating from the university the Dean's office makes out to foreign students the diplomas of the proper level of preparation and conducts their legalization in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;

Entrance Examination Department

The Rules of Entrance:

  • in the direction of the Ministry of Education and science of Ukraine in accordance with the international agreements;
  • in accordance with the direct agreements, contructed by the university with foreign citizens, with the proper fee of studding.

The studding is conducted on the following educational programs:

  • Pre – institute of higher preparation (preparatory department for foreign citizens);
  • Higher professional education (bachelor, specialist, master's degree);
  • Postgraduate education

Foreign citizens are accepted on the first course, if they have the secondary education.

  • 1. The foreigners are accepted to the university on results of interview on mathematics, physics, the Ukrainian language (or the Russian language).
  • 2. The terms of interview are set of the entrance examination commission.

Foreign citizens on the Faculty of Humanities & Department for Foreign Students hand over the following documents:

  • the Application of standard pattern;
  • the copy of the document about education and about the estimations got on educational disciplines (if you have the document about higher education it must be nostrificirovan at the Ministry of Education and science of Ukraine);
  • the document about the absence of AIDS;
  • the medical certificate about health and the certificate about the absence of tuberculosis diseases, notarized the official department of health of the country which a foreigner arrived from, and given out not later, than two months prior to departure on studding to Ukraine;
  • the insurance policy about providing of urgent medicare;
  • the copy of birth certificate;
  • 6 photos measuring 4x6;
  • return ticket, which is held during one year, with the opened date of returning to the motherland.

All documents must be translated into the Ukrainian language (the Russian language) and notarized in accordance with the law of the country of delivery.

Nostrifikaciya (confession) of foreign documents about education is carried out on the statement of citizen, which is given to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

To the statement is added:

  • the original and the copy of the documents about education;
  • the original and the copy of appendix to the document about education, which has information about a form and the terms of study, system of estimation of knowledge’s, list of educational disciplines (objects), general (a week's) volume of audience and independent time for work, amount of semesters, educational weeks, practices, terms, final papers, annotations of the programs of professional disciplines, the other constituents of educational process;
  • the document of public central department of management education of the country about confession (accreditations) of educational establishment academician program by public of country which educational establishment belongs to authorities, and countries, on territory of which educational activity of this educational establishment is carried out;
  • the document of public central department of management of education of the country (academic and professional), which get to the owner of the document public of the country, which educational establishment gave out the documents belongs to, authorities;
  • if you have some education, you should attach your diploma or other document;
  • the application from educational establishment, where the studding is planned to continue;
  • the document, where personality of applicants is confirmed;
  • the document about payment of procedure of confession.

The document which is confirmed the personality and the originals of the foreign documents about education after acceptance of application about confession return to the applicants.

The documents about education and other foreign documents, which are given by the applicants , legalized and translated into the Ukrainian language in accordance with the law of Ukraine.

Without legalization (with attestation of Ukraine of rightness of copies and translation notary) documents are accepted in cases, foreseen of the law and international agreements of Ukraine.

Pleasant statistics

There were 62 foreign students studied on a full time-education at different faculties and Preparatory Department for foreigners in 2008-2009 academic year from different countries such as Russia (5), Turkmenistan (3), Iraq (1), Congo (3), China (7), Jordan (16), Tunis (27).The Bachelor's Degree has received 4 foreigners (3 from China and 1 from Jordan), the diploma of the Master’s Degree – 1 foreign student from Turkmenistan.

At the university in 2006-2007 academicals year at different faculties, on Preparatory Department for foreigners and in postgraduate education on a full – time education were 27 foreign citizens from the different countries – China (6), Russia (4), Turkmenistan (10), and Jordan (7). There is 1 citizen from China on Preparatory Department, in postgraduate education – 1 citizen from China, the master’s degree – 6 citizens of Turkmenistan.

At the university in 2007-2008 academicals year at different faculties, on Preparatory Departments for foreigners and in postgraduate education on a full – time education were 49 foreign citizens from the different countries – China (4), Russia (5), Turkmenistan (3), Jordan (12), Kazakhstan (1), Iraq (1). There is 1 citizen of China on Preparatory Department, 9 citizens of Congo, 8 citizens of Tunis, 1 citizen of Morocco, 1 citizen Turkey, in postgraduate education – 3 citizens of China and 1 citizen of Jordan, the master’s degree – 1 citizen of Jordan.
